Restore the look of your wheels and protect them with TOP GLOSS protection. Wheels are taken off the vehicle and undergo chemical decontamination with an iron remover and then a tar remover. A non-caustic wheel cleaning foam is used to loosen and remove embedded brake dust from the face of the wheel, the barrel of the wheel and the area behind the spokes. Any remaining particles are removed with wheel cleaning clay. On to the next step which involves a light polishing of all factory coated wheel surfaces. Last step is an application of a nano-ceramic wheel coating that is formulated to withstand the high temperatures that wheels are exposed to while driving and braking. I recently added a new piece of equipment – a shortwave infrared curing light. The infrared energy bakes the wheel coating onto the wheel surface and this creates a powerful bond that increases the durability of the coating.Cleaning is simple; just a gentle wipe down with a soft sponge and some car shampoo, rinse with a hose and you’re done!
Ceramic coatings will protect all types of wheel finishes; chrome, polished metal, high gloss painted wheels or matte finish wheels. Satin finish and matte finish wheels are especially susceptible to damage from hot brake dust. The finish can become discolored, blotchy or stained from brake dust that accumulates on the wheel. This service is one of the best treatments to protect your automotive investment.
Moving on to the tires. Tires are deep cleaned to remove grime and rubber conditioners that leach out of the tire and attract dirt and road film that results in browning of the tire sidewall. After cleaning the tires are dressed with a rubber treatment that restores a deep, rich black color to the rubber and provides UV protection. The sheen is selected by the customer and can range from a glossy black to a natural matte look. Wheels are placed back on the vehicle and hand-torqued to OEM specifications.
If you want to clean your own wheels I do not recommend acid-based wheel cleaners. Repeated use of these harsh cleaners can damage the factory coating or sealant that is applied during the manufacturing process. Similar warning applies to solvent-based tire dressings. These may contain petroleum distillates. Petroleum distillates over time can increase the dryness of the tire which can lead to cracking. Our high-desert climate is dry with very low humidity. What your tires need is a tire dressing that penetrates the rubber, restoring color, along with UV inhibitors that protect the rubber from ultraviolet radiation. And remember to let your wheels cool down for a few hours before cleaning. Spraying your hot wheels with cold water can warp your brake rotors (brake discs) and result in an unexpected repair.

Add-On: When the wheels are taken off I will clean the rust and corrosion from the hub and wheel studs. A light coating of high-temperature copper based anti-seize on the hub mating surface will help prevent the wheel from becoming stuck to the hub.
